Guilford School of Theology started in 2006 from the vision of Dr. John W.S. Howard. This vision was born out of the need to provide an affordable theological education to laypersons and ministers in the body of Christ desiring higher learning.

Guilford School of Theology was founded to prepare men and women for Christian Ministry. Guilford School of Theology was founded to prepare men and women for Christian Ministry. We purposely keep our tuition at a cost so that the person who has other financial obligations can still pursue their education. Guilford School of Theology considers it a great opportunity to train and equip men and women to serve in the capacity of their vocation.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
The GST’s course of instruction is Biblically based and is of sound doctrine (as evidenced by our record and reference to the history of the Scripture of which we have learned to call the Bible). We hold fast to the tenets of the Christian Faith i.e. the death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is also this Institution’s belief that the blood of Christ was shed for the forgiveness of sin to all who believe in and on Him. We believe He is returning for His Church (Ecclesia) soon.
All are encouraged to be faithful to their beliefs; there is no persuasion by GST to change one’s denomination or faith. Our exultant duty is to live, share, and teach His Holy Word
